Raw goat milk for dogs is milk, straight from a goat, that is not pasteurized. During the pasteurization process, good gut bacteria (probiotics) are “cooked” out of the milk—which is why the raw form is so great!
Just like with any other raw food, raw milk is good for dogs because it contains good bacteria that is not “cooked” out, allowing dogs to actually absorb the nutrients from the food they eat. Raw milk is filled with natural minerals like calcium, vitamins, enzymes, and trace elements.
Like with any other raw product, there are plenty of scare tactics to keep consumers and dogs away from consuming raw goat milk. Sure, goat milk (or any raw food) can contain harmful pathogens but if you are getting the milk (or raw food) from a high-quality source, the chances of this decrease significantly.
