193,100 pounds of feed. One incredible community. ❤️
In the wake of the Ross Fire, ranchers and livestock owners across the affected areas faced the difficult task of caring for their animals while recovering from the impact of the fire. When the need for livestock feed became clear, Russell Feed & Supply knew we wanted to help.
What started as an effort to quickly get feed into the hands of local ranchers grew into an incredible community-wide response.
Thanks to the generosity of our customers, vendor partners, employees, and neighbors, 193,100 pounds of livestock feed was donated and delivered to support ranchers and animals affected by the Ross Fire.
Supporting Ranchers in Palo Pinto County and Beyond
Over the following weeks, the Russell Feed & Supply team worked alongside community organizations to help get donated feed where it was needed most.
Deliveries were made to the Palo Pinto County Livestock Association and Rancher Navy, helping distribute feed directly to ranchers and livestock owners impacted by the fire.
From cattle cubes and Allstock feed to additional livestock nutrition products, every donation helped provide much-needed support during an incredibly difficult time.
A Community Effort From Start to Finish
Reaching 193,100 pounds of donated feed would not have been possible without the people and businesses who stepped up to help.
Every bag of feed purchased for donation made a difference. So did every vendor partner who contributed, every employee who helped organize and load feed, and every person who helped haul and deliver it.
The response was an incredible reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to take care of its neighbors.
Texans Helping Texans
Russell Feed & Supply has been part of North Texas communities for generations, and supporting the farmers, ranchers, livestock owners, and families who make these communities home is incredibly important to us.
The Ross Fire relief effort became much bigger than anything we could have accomplished alone. Our customers and partners took an opportunity to lend a hand and turned it into 193,100 pounds of support for local ranchers and livestock.
To everyone who donated, purchased feed, shared information, volunteered, loaded trucks, made deliveries, or helped spread the word: thank you.
We are incredibly grateful for the way our community showed up for our neighbors when they needed it most.
This is what Texans helping Texans looks like.
