October 1, 1997, the official birth of Russell Feed & Supply
As I sit here pondering the last 23 years, I realize I never could have dreamed that I’d be where I am today. On October 1st, 1997, I purchased 3 feed stores from a man I’d worked for and respected for 23 years. I’m so thankful for Pete’s faith in me, as today we are in 8 markets and growing.
My family and I have truly lived the American dream. We have been blessed with wonderful staff, supportive customers, the top vendors in the industry, and we get to serve the best communities in the great state of Texas every day. I can’t help but believe there is a higher power at work that has helped guide the many decisions and events that have happened over the last 23 years.
As you may have noticed, we are in the midst of completely upgrading our stores through relocations, remodels, and purchasing existing feed stores. Through better access and convenience, an increased product offering of feed, pet food, lawn and garden supplies, and top-of-the-line facilities, our goal is to make your shopping experience here at Russell Feed & Supply the best it can be. I can tell you one thing that will never change—our stores will be a place where you matter, and where you can find old-fashioned customer service.
As our market becomes more and more saturated with chain stores, big boxes, farm and fleet stores, and internet companies, you can bet all of us here at Russell Feed & Supply are positioning ourselves for another 23 years. We live here, we work here, and this is our hometown. It’s been the pleasure of my life getting to serve you.
